Wakeboard Workout Wednesday – #1 – Overhead Medicine Ball Slams

Today is the start of a video series called Wakeboard Workout Wednesday.  A new video will be posted every week that is designed to teach you some of the best exercises that you can do in order to help improve your wakeboarding.

The first Wakeboard Workout is the Medicine Ball Overhead Slam.

Keeping abs tight (suck your bellybutton in as hard as you can) throughout the whole movement, take the medicine ball overhead with elbows extended out.

Use your abs to initiate bringing the medicine ball down towards the floor, explosively slam the ball as hard as possible straight into the ground in front of you, finishing the movement with your arms.  Catch the ball as it bounces off the floor, immediately taking it back overhead to repeat the movement.

Depending on the weight of ball that you use, perform 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps.
